A deeply personal zine, ''What I Saw From Where I Stood'' contains the experience of the author traveling with a group of friends to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to help with flood damage and dealing with the sudden and accidental death of one of those friends.

Eva also writes about becoming pregnant and choosing to have her baby, and how that affects her "punk" identity and lifestyle. She includes [[DIY]] instructions for modifying pregnancy pants and a nursing bra, as well as preserving and eating the placenta.
