tangent is an independently produced art zine created by London based artist Karen Ay that explores ideas relating to Contemporary Art Practice and offers a platform for work that perhaps might otherwise go under the radar. The zine features artists’ work in the form of reviews and contributions, as well as arts listings in London and beyond.

Begun in 2005 and published on an irregular basis through 2009, the zine has so far produced 12 issues and has been distributed throughout the UK, New York City, Montreal, Melbourne and at one point Nepal.

After a rather long, three year hiatus, issue 13 will be published in September 2012. For information about stockists and submissions check out the tangent website.
