"Issue #1 of the great Kansas City-based zine Stink Eye is a huge Pioneers Press favorite! The bulk of the issue is taken up by a “terms and definitions" resource guide on how to talk about sex and gender. Stink Eye editor Jessica Hogan gives user-friendly, accessible definitions on everything from androgyny to autosexuality, heterosexual privilege to transgender. The zine also includes (among other things) a piece by David Combs (of Spoonboy) on sexism in the punk scene and a lot of illustrations and collages. Don’t miss out on this excellent, dialog-opening 32-pager! Great cover too. Rad, rad, rad. " -Pioneerspress.com

"After Stink Eye’s kick-ass first issue based (mostly) around definitions on sex and gender, editor Jessica Hogan is back with another great read, this one on more topics than generally fit in THREE books. This spirited, take-no-prisoners, fully-collage-illustrated zine has a piece on Pussy Riot, vegan recipes, games and comics, a DIY section featuring popular embroidery stitches and cold brew coffee instructions, a feature on being a good ally to trans people, an essay on nonviolence, and so much more. Stink Eye #2 packs so much good stuff into 44-pages that you’ll finish this one feeling nourished, entertained, excited, inspired, and ready to go out and live better!"
