She makes jewelry out of car crashes (2003) is an Australian perzine that deals with the author's depression.

The author's editorial begins as follows: "Another zine crawling out of depression's primordial ooze and staggering to its feet. I wish that the fundamental inspiration for writing this had been something other than chronic sadness; vague emptiness or naive hope perhaps. I wish I had sat down to make a zine after seeing Pauline Hanson's son on the news recording a song to raise money for his 'political prisoner' mother, or after reading the way John Steinbeck writes starfish sperm at low tide - but no - this zine is a black dog by product."
