Protest zine was a DIY hardcore punk zine from Ireland.

Protest zine was/is written by Sean fitzgerald and various others at the start (Sly, Steve, Peter the 2 liter, Gus and many others). Around eight issues were released between 1989 and 1996. With interviews, zine and music reviews. Mainly covering D-beat, crust, anarcho bands and labels. Zine came back in 2002 and as a website www.geocities.com/protestzine/ then 2003 saw the release of it in print again, with a much better distribution, interviews with Discharge, Hellshock and all the usual crust favourites. Stopped in print and now mainly a webzine
