It was distributed in Australia by [[Take Care]], [[Bird in the Hand]], [[The Sticky Institute]], Format, The Paper Mill and Smells Like Zines as well as being available internationally through Quimbys (USA), Reading Frenzy (USA), Needles And Pens (USA), Corn Dog Zine Distro (UK) and The Toronto Zine Library (Canada).  Issue number six of Plastic Knife was launched at Sticky in Melbourne in March 2011, this was a split zine featuring Plastic Knife #6/Black Paint Gold Wire #8.
