In the introduction to the zine, he seeks to differentiate between his idea of what a man should be, and the average man: "Men are rapists, child-molesters, wife-beaters, queer-bashers...Men are responsible for the systematic destruction of the planet...Men make up crappy religions, create governments, start wars and spread diseases... suppress their feelings...Men think blue is for boys and pink is for girls" In contrast, Patrick's new man is "anarchist, masculinist...usually atheist, but if they are not they make up kool religions...when they fight it's one on one...are never afraid to say what's on their minds...think pink and every other color except blue is for boys." Patrick promises that by participating in a 12 step aversion-type therapy program you can become a new type of man; "In short, there's still hope."

Not Your Bastard was a one shot zine by Patrick published in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A.

This zine appeared in the early 1990's. In Not Your Bastard, Patrick attempts to redefine what masculinity might mean. In the introduction to the zine, he seeks to differentiate between his idea of what a man should be, and the average man: "Men are rapists, child-molesters, wife-beaters, queer-bashers...Men are responsible for the systematic destruction of the planet...Men make up crappy religions, create governments, start wars and spread diseases... suppress their feelings...Men think blue is for boys and pink is for girls." In contrast, Patrick's new man is "anarchist, masculinist...usually atheist, but if they are not they make up kool religions...when they fight it's one on one...are never afraid to say what's on their minds...think pink and every other color except blue is for boys." Patrick promises that by participating in a 12 step aversion-type therapy program you can become a new type of man; "In short, there's still hope."

The zine includes articles such as "Me and My M-16", "The New Verbal Order!!!". "Hugging IS Revolutionary", an article on Queer S.H.A.R.P. skinheads, "Men Are Pigs!!!!", "Father Inferior", "Pride is Lame" and "Doomsday", all dealing with issues such as male stereotypes, political correctness carried to extremes, the environment, and personal writing about relationships with family and ex-boyfriends. It is illustrated with photos of a young Marlon Brando, Queer skinheads, an Ace Backwords comic, cartoons, and even a small picture of Tammy Faye Bakker.

Patrick also published Loring Punk and The nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy-head, fever, so you can rest 'zine.
