Revision as of 04:37, 15 January 2008

The Newcastle Zine and Independent Press Fair (2000-) is one of the largest events of its kind in the world, and certainly the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. Drawing together all manner of zinesters, comics nerds, general artists and small / independent publishers, it takes place as part of the National Young Writers' Festival, which itself is part of the ever sprawling This Is Not Art Festival.

The Fair brings together a huge array of zinesters, independent publishers, presents workshops, panels and forums. This year attendance is confirmed from virtually everyone who could approximately be referred to as a 'zine or small press luminary'.

Location, date and time

The 2007 Fair will take place in Newcastle, Australia, on Sunday 30th September, between 12:00pm and 6:00pm.

History

The Newcastle Zine and Independent Press Fair began in 2000.
