My New Page

Welcome to ZineWiki, the open-source encyclopedia devoted to zines and independent media. You're invited to add your project, contribute additional information to already existing pages, or to edit what’s already published. Not sure how?

Creating a new page on ZineWiki is not complex. The easiest method is to simply complete a "Search" for whatever you'd like your new page to be titled. For example, if you wanted to add a page for your distro, simply search "My Distro Name" and work through the following three steps:

Step 1. Complete a Search

This ensures that there isn't already a page started with the same title as yours. For our tutorial here, I will call my new page, well, "My New Page"

Sharing with Writers is an entity of Authors' Coalition, http://authorscoalitionandredenginepress.com. It is a newsletter where authors are encouraged to promote themselves, their books, contribute articles and help other authors put their books into the hands of readers.

Sharing with Writers is edited by Carolyn Howard-Johnson, author of the award-winning THE FRUGAL BOOK PROMOTER: HOW TO DO WHAT YOUR PUBLISHER WON'T, and three other books. Those books were her training ground for promotion, even though she had been a journalist, freelance writer and a fashion publicist in New York. She says, "Even those with marketing experience, marketing skills, will find the publishing industry puzzling."

There is no charge for the newsletter. Subscribe at the AC site or send an e-mail to HoJoNews@aol.com.

Step 3. Add Content

Type until your heart's content. Add your distro's history, talk about any noteworthy projects, the zine events you've tabled at, and don't forget to add a link to your site at the bottom of the page.

Once you're finished, click "Save Page" at the bottom and you're done!
