Muffin Bone is a zine by Emily K. Larned of Middletown, CT.

Muffin Bone was published in the 1990's. Sample issue #14 is subtitled 'People, Places & Things', and is divided into the categories 'People'; character sketches; 'Places'; her college, NYC, etc.; and 'Things': Emily found some used skirts that turned out to be designed by Lilly Pulitzer a noted designer. The writing is sensitive, smart, and poetic. On people in crowded museums she writes, "The creepiest thing is how we all go in the same direction, like we are all skaters in a silent, slow-motion roller rink..." Also note her first rate drawings.

Muffin Bone is included in the Sarah and Jen Wolfe Zine Collection at The University of Iowa.
