Larry Livermore is a musician, record label owner and a prolific writer for zines who now lives in new York.

During the 1980's Larry Livermore lived in California where, in 1985, he got involved in the punk scene when he began performing in his own band, The Lookouts. This band released two LPs and two EPs and lent their name to the record label Livermore started, called Lookout! Records.

Since this time Larry Livermore has also been writing, and has contributed to some of the major punk zines of the past decades. He began writing a regular column for Maximum Rock N Roll in 1987 which continued till 1994. In 1994 he began writing a column for Punk Planet, which lasted till the zine ceased publishing , in 2007. However, he has contributed to many smaller, less prominent zines as well, including Absolutely Zippo and Homocore. He has also been interviewed for a variety of zines, including, for example, PMS. Due to his extensive and lengthy contributions, he can be said to be an influential figure in the punk scene.

Larry Livermore also ran the record label Lookout! Records throughout the 1980's and 1990's, until he left in 1997. During this time the label released recordings by several of the bands that arose from the scene at 924 Gilman Street Project, a punk venue in Berkeley, California, including the groups Green Day and Blatz. Baltz included guitarist Robert Eggplant, editor of the zine Absolutely Zippo, which Livermore and Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day both contributed to. Also on the label was the band Screeching Weasel, feturing zinester Ben Weasel.
