Johanna Fateman, perhaps best known now as a member of the band Le Tigre, met Kathleen Hanna at a Bikini Kill show when she gave Hanna a zine. The two became friends and collaborators. Fateman has penned such titles as My Need to Speak on the Subject of Jackson Pollock and Artaud Mania, detailing her in-class feuds with an abrasive art professor.
