Joel Gibb is also the lead singer and songwriter of the band The Hidden Cameras, who have toured around the world and released four full-length CDs and a number of singles. One of the notable songs from their first CD is "Fear of Zine Failure", about the nervousness of a first time zine editor wondering what his zine idols will think of his zine.

Joel Gibb is a zine editor, artist, and musician formerly from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, now residing in Berlin, Germany.

While in his teens in Mississauga, Joel Gibb started publishing his first zine Glamour Guide For Trash. Five issues were released during this period in the 1990's. This zine was focused on independent rock and punk bands of the period and included photos of live concerts, interviews and reviews of recordings and shows. Also included were more personal items, and gossip about the local zine scene.

In 2008, Joel Gibb appeared in the feature length film The Lollipop Generation by fellow zine editor G.B. Jones, alongside a cast of zine editors such as Jena von Brücker, Vaginal Davis, Jen Smith, Scott Treleaven, Gary Fembot and Anonymous Boy.
