In A Prior Lifetime was a fanzine published by John Purcell.

Since its start in 2003, it has featured contributors such as Chris Garcia (The Drink Tank, Journey Planet), Eric Mayer (E-Ditto), Lloyd Penney (Torus), Garth Spencer (The Maple Leaf Rag, The Central Ganglion), Jim Sullivan, and Frank Wu.

Art work was contributed by Brad Foster and Kate Gaunt.

Photographs were by John Purcell, Dave Truesdale, and Frank Wu.

Letters came from Leslie David, John Nielsen Hall, Janine Stinson (Steam Engine Time), Peter Sullivan, Laurraine Tutahasi, and Ted White.

John Purcell had earlier published This House from 1976 to 1989. After the publication of In A Prior Lifetime, he began the zine Askance.
