Fiz #4 before the zine relocated to Seattle and bacame Fizz

Fizz was a large bi-monthly fanzine by Cathy Rundell out of Seattle, WA from 1992-1997. Fizz began as Fiz in Los Angeles, CA, where Rundell and a friend co-founded and published the first few issues. When the Rundell moved to Seattle, she added an extra "z" to the title, became it's sole publisher, and picked up a lot of contributors in her new hometown. Fizz was printed on newsprint with a glossy color cover. Each issue featured lots of rock and punk band interviews, columns, reviews and features, often with a humorous angle. One of the highlight's each issue was Rundell's pre-teen daughter Vivian interviewing various musicians, including Billy Idol and Lemmy from Motorhead (where she asked him if he liked toy trolls).

Contributors included Naomi Shapiro, Leigh Pendergrass, Natasha Avery, Jenny Boe, Carl Drunko, John Dunn, Ean Hernandez (of the band Sick), Tracey Hartzle (of the band Shugg), Dan Halligan, Jula Bell, artists Peter Bagge and Pat Moriarty, and photographers Alice Wheeler and Curt Doughty.
