Duplex Planet is David Greenberger's long-running zine "designed to portray a wide variety of real characters who are old or in decline." He began publishing the zine in 1979 while working as the Activities Director at the Duplex Nursing Home in Boston . Greenberger interviewed and took photographs of the elderly community there, which along with his own anecdotes and observations about their lives became the core content of Duplex Planet. With over 165 issues as well as comp issues and a book in print, Greenberger is still at it. He's also put a lot of his conversations with the elderly online in a fairly unique website.
