History

Driving Blind Distro was started in the summer of 2002 by Erin H of New Jersey. Originally, she only wanted to sell zines and crafts by people who were physically disabled. But then she realized that a) there weren't enough physically disabled zinesters to actually make a distro successful and b) there is more than one type of disability. Therefore, Erin decided to incorporate zines and crafts by people with all types of disabilities. Also, she eventually decided to carry zines by non-disabled people because she wanted to show that all different types of individuals can come together and share their love for zines. Erin was hoping to create a sense of community.
