David Palmer is the founder and developer of DIY Search.

He originally started by publishing zines in 1988 with a small two issue run fanzine called Empty Words. His next publication was Upstate Zine, a popular hardcore punk/straight edge zine chronicalling the goings on of the Syracuse New York hardcore scene.

In addition to helping to run other zines such as Basic Motor Skills, Typograpunx and Japh, Palmer also went on to start Minusone zine, a geek/culture zine that comes out whenever time permits. Another new zine is in the works with DIY Search editor, Solomon Grey, entitled "enoctum," which will be a different twist to the "graphic novel" concept.
