Dark Dreams was a small press publication by David Cowperthwaite and Jeffrey Dempsey.
Subtitled "Macabre and Fantasy Fiction", Dark Dreams was a literary zine devoted to horror, supernatural and weird fiction, and was published in Liverpool, England, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Issue 3 was co-edited by David Cowperthwaite with guest editor Mark Valentine. Issues 2 and 3 were published in 1985, with issue 5 coming in 1986, issue 6 in 1987, issue 7 in 1988, issue 8 in 1990, and issue 9, the last issue, in 1992.

Mark Valentine went on to publish the annual Aklo.
In 1990, David Cowperthwaite released the special one issue only publication, Transactions of the Doppelganger Society.
