Cosmag Vol. 2 No. 3, 1952

Cosmag was a science fiction fanzine by Ian T. Macauley.

Cosmag was published in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., in the 1950s. The Art Director was Jerry Burge and Associate Editors were Carson Jacks and John Rose. It was a product of the Atlanta Science Fiction Organization. The first issue was released in March, 1951. The subtitle on that first issue was "a fanzine for fen" and it included stories, articles, and drawings on sf and, in later issues, a fanzine review column.

Contributors of artwork were by Jerry Burge, Ben Bost, John Cockroft, John Grossman, Lee Hoffman, Ralph Rayburn Phillips and Peter J. Ridley.

Contributors of writing included Robert E. Briney (Cataclysm), Dick Clarkson, Tom Covington, Lemuel Craig, Roger Dard (Perhaps), Lee Hoffman (Quandry), Mack Reynolds, Darrell Richardson, Peter J. Ridley, Robert Silverberg (Spaceship) and Ken Slater (Vector).

Cosmag was a split zine, combined with Science Fiction Digest, that appeared upside down and backwards on the reverse.

Jerry Burge later went on to co-edit Si-Fan, and Ian Macauley went on to edit ASPO.

Cosmag was a member of "Fanvariety Enterprises", an affiliation of fan publishers put together by Max Keasler and Bill Venable. It included such publications as Max Keasler's Opus, Bill Venable's Pendulum, Norman Browne's Vanations, Harlan Ellison's Science Fantasy Bulletin, Dave English's Fantasias, Bob Farnham and Nan Gerding's The Chigger Patch of Fandom, Norbert Hirschhorn's Tyrann, Joel Nydahl's Vega, and Starlanes by Nan Gerding and Orma McCormick.
