Chank Diesel is the pen name of Charles R. Anderson, creator of the popular Chank computer fonts. In the 1990's, Chank was Creative Director of CAKE, a free publication that straddled the border between mainstream music magazines and zines. CAKE published zine reviews, and many Twin Cities zinesters contributed writing and artwork, including: Jessica Hopper and Mr. Mike.

Chank's computer fonts have been featured in the Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. He is credited as one of the inventors of "grunge typography." He is currently the President and CEO of the Chank Company.
