Bluestockings Books is a bookstore, fair trade cafe, and activist center located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, NY. The store is run by over 40 people who volunteer their time on a weekly basis. Bluestockings currently has over 4,000 titles. In addition to books, the store carries zines, DVDs, menstrual products, calendars, journals, posters, patches, pins, and Zapatista products.

Zine Reading Extravaganza

About four times a year, the store hosts a Bluestockings Zine Reading Extravaganza. The last reading took place on March 25, 2007, and featured 10 different zinesters. The next reading is scheduled to take place in June.
