Black Satellite was a small press publication edited by Brian Lingard and published by Dark Tree Press.

Black Satellite was subtitled "The Magazine of Startling Science Fiction and Weird Horror!". It was published in Boylston, Maine, U.S.A. in the 2000s. The editor further described the zine: "Black Satellite hopes to capture some of the spirit of The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, the Alien movies, or even the old magazine Argonaut."

The first issue appeared in Fall 2001. The cover art was by Allen Koszowski. Contributors of writing included Cathy Buburuz (Champagne Horror), Kenneth Goldman, Deborah Hunt, D.F. Lewis (Nemonymous), Bonnie Mercure, Matthew Spence, and s.c.virtes. Reviews are by Brian Lingard.

Issue 2 was released in Spring 2002, with cover art by Allen Koszowski, and illustrations by Mike Todd. Writing was contributed by Eric S. Brown, Eric Hermanson, Shawn James, Vera Searles, Matthew Spence, s.c. virtues, Bill Vogel III, and Lee Clark Zumpe, with reviews by Brian Lingard

Published in Summer 2002, Issue 3 featured cover art by Allen Koszowski, and illustrations by Mike Todd. Contributors of writing included Michael Baletti, Everette Bell, J.R. Cain, Albert J. Manachino, Matthew Spence, and Lee Clark Zumpe, and reviews by Brian Lingard.

Issue 4, from Winter 2002, featured cover art by Allen Koszowski. Contributors of prose included Michael E. Ambrose with Albert J. Manachino, Eric S. Brown, R. David Fulcher, Jarrett Keene, Mark Mellon, and Jim Reynolds. Poetry was by Kendall Evans.

Issue 5 was released in Fall 2003, with cover art by Allen Koszowski, and prose by James R. Cain, Tim Curran, Tom Olbert, Bill Wilson, and Lee Clark Zumpe. Poetry was by Kendall Evans.

Issue 6 appeared in Fall 2004, with cover art by Bruce Heller. Contributors of prose included Kevin Anderson, Andrew Kelly, Albert J. Manachino, Andy Owens, Darrell Pitt, and Lenora K. Rogers. Contributors of prose included Daniel S. Irwin, and William P. Robertson.

Issue 7, the last issue published to date, was released in Winter 2006. The cover art was by Bruce Heller, and illustrations were by Monte Davis. Contributors of writing included Michael E. Ambrose with Albert J. Manachino, Monte Davis, Angeline Hawkes-Craig, Matthew Leukroth, Bonnie McDaniel, David B. Riley, and Vera Searles.
