Berkeley Sucks was a zine started in 1989 in the East Bay scene of California, U.S.A. that revolved around the Gilman St. Project music club.

The most active editors were Jesse Townly (also known as Jesse Luscious) formerly of Philly Zine, and Ken Wisconsin. Crude art, music reviews and commentary was what made up the content for four issues. One of the last issues was the "Fuck Religion" issue.

Jesse Townly/Luscious was also a singer with the band Blatz that also featured fellow zinester Robert Eggplant, publisher of Absolutely Zippo, on guitar, poet Anna Springer Joy and Anna Lalania, also vocalists, and Marshall Stax on bass.
