Artcore

One of the longest running zines in the U.K., Artcore began in January 1986. After 22 years, it has 24 issues and a variety of other side projects to its name.

Artcore features interviews with hardcore punk bands, no bullshit reviews and political commentary. The other half of each issue, entitled 'Vaultage', features indepth biographies of bands and labels, as well spotlights on punk artists new and old. Artcore has a specific emphasis on the graphic art of the punk rock movement, and its presentation reflects that, as well as a special interest in hardcore music of the 1980's.
