Amber Dearest lives and makes zines in Montréal, Québec, Canada.

From 2004-2011, she made the perzine Culture Slut. Two issues of Culture Slut appeared as a split zine with Telegram Ma'am, done by Amber's twin Maranda Elizabeth. One issue was split with Stab Heart by Jane Boston of Ohio, U.S.A. There were twenty-five issues in all.

She has also released a compilation zine, Fight Boredom.

She made three issues of a perzine called The Triumph Of Our Tired Eyes and currently writes a series called Critical Breakfast.

She runs Fight Boredom Distro.
