Discourse, founded by Sean Sutherland and published in Pittsburgh, PA, U.S.A., was a Punk and Post-Punk zine that ran from the mid-1980s until the late 1990s.
The editing duties changed hands throughout the years, with Sutherland doing it initially, and Mike Shanley taking over by late 1987.
This zine gave special emphasis to the local Pittsburgh scene, though often made disparaging comments about it to the tune of "..the Pittsburgh music scene has too many factions and not enough people or money to make any of them successful. The Pittsburgh music scene really only consists of the musicians in the local bands. We don't all know each other, and some of us don't even like each other. It simply cannot be left up to the bands to create or support a scene."
This zine is catalogued and archived in the Zine Archive at the BGSU Music Library/Bill Schurk Sound Archives.
